Murray Hamilton (Jaws) teams up with first-timer Kathy Dunn in 13 Frightened Girls, a candy-coloured spy spoof from director William Castle (Homicidal). Candy Hull (Dunn), daughter of the American ambassador, attends an exclusive boarding school in London. When she takes a fancy to spy Wally Sanders (Hamilton), she and her friend Mai-Ling (Lynne Sue Moon, To Sir, with Love) must foil a dastardly plot. Also known as The Candy Web, this mixture of teen comedy and espionage action is famous for one of director Castles trademark gimmicks – the supporting roles of the diplomats daughters were cast via an international talent competition.
