Steve Hackett & The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was originally released in 1997. A musical homage to, and inspired by the William Shakespeare play, this album saw Steve on classical guitar accompanied by conductor Matt Dunkley and the full orchestra. Longtime collaborators Roger King and brother John Hackett also feature on, what is often considered, a highlight of Steve’s classical work.
