Yusef Lateef, a saxophonist and flutist who has had a major influence on hip-hop since the 1990s, released his album “Jazz Mood” (Savoy Records/MG 12103/LP) in 1957 on Savoy Records.
This vinyl LP has been reissued in the same format as the original 1969 release by BYG in France, with the cover and title changed to “Blues in Space.”



Yusef Lateef’s quintet work, featuring Detroit’s finest musicians, including Alice Coltrane’s brother Ernie Farrow and Curtis Fuller, who would later join the Jazz Messengers.
