Following the success of the 10 Year Anniversary Edition of debut album ‘The Bones Of What You Believe’, CHVRCHES will now celebrate a decade of their sophmore release ‘Every Open Eye’ with an exclusive double vinyl repack for Record Store Day 2025.
This is the first time that all tracks from the campaign – including ‘Bury’ It featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore, ‘Warning Call’ from the Electronic Arts video game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the Four Tet remix of lead single ‘Leave A Trace’, plus a host of bonus studio tracks and other remixes – have been committed to one physical format
Excitingly, the repack also includes rarity ‘Up In Arms’, not released in either the UK or the US
The digital album features KDA and Whyt Noyz remixes that are widely unreleased across major DSP’s, plus a live version of ‘Clearest Blue’ from the Pitchfork Music Festival 2015, previously only released in the US as a retailer exclusive.
Charting at #4 in the UK and #8 in the US upon release in September 2015 (plus top 20 in 10 other countries), Every Open Eye was a critical as well as commercial success, garnering lavish praise from top tier outlets:
“An electronic band with an organic soul – fast becoming genuinely important voices” 5*, DIY
Mark “Spike” Stent was brought onboard to mix the second successive self-produced album, and tracks such as ‘Leave A Trace’ and ‘Clearest Blue’ became instant fan favourites that continue to close the band’s live shows today
As ‘Every Open Eye’ grew in popularity so did CHVRCHES’ live following, propelling the band to statement headline performances at London’s Alexandra Palace & Royal Albert Hall, Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, and New York’s Radio City Music Hall, plus major festival appearances at Glastonbury, Coachella, SXSW, Governor’s Ball and Radio1’s Big Weekend
Whilst touring ‘Every Open Eye’ across North America, CHVRCHES appeared on both the Tonight Show and the Late Show, with Lauren making a Channel4 News guest appearance back in the UK.
