Naomi Ackie stars as Whitney Houston in this musical biopic directed by Kasi Lemmons. Houston achieved superstardom as a singer but her personal life was tumultuous, including her familys disapproval of Robyn Crawford (Nafessa Williams)s presence in her life and her difficult relationship with husband Bobby Brown (Ashton Sanders). Her worsening drug addiction ultimately led to her death in 2012 at the age of 48. Stanley Tucci, Tamara Tunie and Clarke Peters also star.
