Texas-born and Oklahoma City-based fingerstyleguitarist Hayden Pedigo presents his remarkableand genre-defying new album ‘I’ll Be Waving AsYou Drive Away’ via Mexican Summer, pressedonto Silverado Brown coloured vinyl.
Since the release of his 2023 record, ‘TheHappiest Times I Ever Ignored’, Pedigo earnedwidespread critical acclaim, performed a stunningNPR Tiny Desk Concert, toured non-stop with thelikes of Jenny Lewis, Devendra Banhart and HissGolden Messenger, and more. He then decampedon a 20,000-acre ranch at an artist residency inWyoming to write his new album, which he’d laterrecord in Ojai with Scott Hirsch and name for a“pretty devastating” episode of ‘Little House on thePrairie’ from 1978.
The resulting album, ‘I’ll Be Waving As You DriveAway’, is the final instalment of what Pedigo hasdubbed ‘The Motor Trilogy’ – his three latest soloalbums, tied together by their vehicular JonathanPhillips artwork.
