By the middle of 1987, Siouxsie and the Banshees had released their covers album, Through The Looking Glass (to moderate reviews), sacked guitarist John Valentine Carruthers, and continued as a three piece for a short while, before picking up John Klein, previously with Specimen, as the new second guitarist.This line-up played a short tour of the US in August, which included several dates as support to David Bowie on his Glass Spider Tour, and other shows when Julian Cope supported the Banshees as headliners.
