Most acts, by their seventh decade in the biz, would have slowed to a crawl, creakily playing their past hits on the heritage circuit and releasing nothing more than the occasional Greatest Hits collection. This is not the case for Sparks, who have triumphantly returned yet again, proving their resilience and relevance in a modern world with a fresh record and summer world tour to accompany it. 11 x UK Top 10 Albums (including the bands last 3 albums The Girl Crying In Her Latte [2023], A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip [2020] and Hippopotamus [2017]) Cesar Award for Best Original Music won in 2021 for Annette The Sparks Brothers documentary, directed by Edgar Wright, released in 2021 Recent touring has included sold out headline shows in legendary venues such as Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall (two shows) and Hollywood Bowl, as well as high profile appearances at festivals including Glastonbury.
