Her voice is as close to perfection on these tracks as any performer could ever hope to achieve. Her voice is emotionally beautiful and powerfully charged. If you haven’t experienced Judy Garland, you’ll be amazed at the simultaneous power, softness, and even vulnerability in her voice, all displayed at the same time on many tracks such as, of course, “Over The Rainbow.” This album captures the songs of her career, and the careers of so many great stage singers from vaudeville and beyond. Definitely one of her best recordings available… especially on vinyl.
