It is the most famous of classical music, and it is a big event that is broadcast in more than 90 countries around the world on TV and radio from Vienna's golden Musikfereinsaal, and is watched by 50 million people. This concert has a long history, starting in 1939, and features the waltzes and polkas of the Strauss family, symbolizing Vienna's music capital.
In 2026, the talented Yannick Néze=Séguin, who leads the Metropolitan Opera and the Philadelphia Orchestra, will make his first appearance. Expectations are high for his ability to achieve results in opera and concerts.
The first performance of the New Year's concert was five pieces, two of which were by Josephine Weinrich, who organized the first female orchestra in Austria in the 19th century, and Freirence Price, who became the first black female composer in the United States in the 20th century. In addition, Joseph's waltz "The True Value of Women" expresses respect for women, and ends with the attitude of seeking peace = waltz "Palm Leaves of Peace", making it
