Mink Deville was one of the early house bands at CBGB’s during the rise of the New York City punk scene. ‘Return to Magenta’ continued in the vein of the first album ‘Cabretta’, with a mixture of rock, soul, blues, and Latin rhythms. On ‘Easy Slider’, the band takes a trip to New Orleans for some Crescent City soul, featuring Dr. John on piano for an extra note of authenticity.
