Supergrass present the 20th Anniversary Edition of their fifth studio album, Road to Rouen. Originally released in 2005, the album peaked at #9 on the UK chart and marked a more reflective phase for the band, featuring longer, more orchestral compositions. The title references both the French city where it was recorded and the Ramones’ 1978 album, Road to Ruin. It features the singles, “Low C,” “Fin,” and fan-favourite, “St. Petersburg,” a captivating and beautiful track with a hint of John Lennon’s influence. Arguably their most personal album, it represented a departure from the band’s signature upbeat sound. This new, mellow, and introspective direction made the entire album a critical success. Newly remastered, this expanded edition includes previously unheard live and studio recordings.
