Tribute album for the singer.
Peterson’s relationship with singing was not was not limited to his appreciation as a fan.
In fact, he sang professionally and even recorded several albums showcasing his vocals showcased his singing.
His singing style bore strong similarities to that of another Pianist and singer Nat King Cole: Nat King Cole.
In 1953, he recorded a complete, lengthy Vocal session, which was first released as the 10-inch LP “Oscar Peterson Sings” and later released as a 12-inch LP under the title “Romance: The Vocal Styling of Oscar Peterson”.
In addition, there were a few isolated Vocal recordings that Peterson had made during mainly instrumental sessions sessions.
