Neil Young’s 1975 album Tonight’s The Night stands as one of his defining works — raw, unflinching, and steeped in loss. Recorded in 1973 in the aftermath of Harvest’s success, it captured a period of turmoil that shaped Young’s most emotional performances. Now, Reprise Records presents the Tonight’s The Night 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, expanding the original with six bonus tracks from the original 1973 S.I.R. sessions in Los Angeles.
The collection includes previously unreleased versions of ‘Lookout Joe’ and ‘Tonight’s The Night (Take 3)’, as well as ‘Walk On’, ‘Everybody’s Alone’, ‘Raised on Robbery’ (featuring Joni Mitchell), ‘Speakin’ Out Jam’, and the long-lost S.I.R. take of ‘Wonderin’’. Together, these tracks restore the album’s original intent, offering the most complete portrait yet of Young’s dark masterpiece. The reissue also features reimagined artwork created specially for this limited edition release.
