1960s American drama directed by Edward Dmytryk. Barbara Stanwyck stars as Jo Courtney, the indomitable madame of The Doll House, a 1930s New Orleans bordello where the main attraction of the brothel – both for the clients and for Jo – is the bored and beautiful Hallie (Capucine).
