Failing witchfinder Gideon Bannister (Tim Key) is looking for wealth and fame but all he finds is uncouth Thomasine Gooch (Daisy May Cooper), who is accused of killing a pig. He takes her to Chelmsford to the Witchfinder General, but the journey is far from straightforward.
