Gordon Parry directs this 1950s British crime drama based on the play by Sylvia Rayman. After her boyfriend is arrested for murder, pregnant nightclub singer Vivianne (Rene Ray) moves into Helen Nelly Allistair (Freda Jackson)s boarding house for unmarried mothers. However, she soon discovers that Nelly is exploiting the vulnerable women she invites into her home.
