Livia Records is pleased to announce the release of ALONE TOGETHER from Louis Stewart and Brian Dunning, our final release of 2025.
ALONE TOGETHER is a remixed and remastered release of a live duet album from great Irish jazz musicians, Louis Stewart, guitar, and Brian Dunning, flute.
Recorded in Dublin’s Peacock Theatre over a series of three lunchtime concerts, 15th-17th August 1979, the album captures the great musical and personal relationship of the two musicians, in yet another duet format, so enjoyed by Louis.
Originally released on LP in 1979, and CD in 1999, this version adds two extra tracks studio tracks, discovered during the re-mix process.

REMIXING AND MASTERING ALONE TOGETHER
To preserve and re-issue an album like this, 46 years after it was recorded, required digitisation of the original quarter inch master tapes, plus trawling through numerous other tapes. This revealed two additional studio tracks, from the late 1970s days of Pat Hayes recording studio, but without a definite date. Thankfully the original tape survived well, and digitised perfectly providing the right source for Seán Mac Erlaine to do his mixing and mastering to deliver the best possible version of the album for re-release.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Non-defective items:
