A cornerstone of Pacific Northwest slowcore, You Should Be At Home Here captures Carissa's Wierd at their most fragile, slow-building and emotionally affecting. Built around eerie strings, understated percussion and hushed vocals, the album carries a quiet sense of tension, with songs that feel intimate and deeply personal, each carrying the weight of something larger. Tracks including "The Color That Your Eyes Changed With the Color of Your Hair" and "Blessed Arms That Hold You Tight, Freezing Cold and Alone" embody that balance of melancholy and subtle warmth, helping the record earn a lasting cult following. This 25th anniversary edition features 3 previously unreleased recordings and is pressed on bone-colored vinyl.
