This selection, compiled by Pete Macklin, consists of the first three Dr Hook And The Medicine Show’s albums (Dr Hook, Sloppy Seconds and Belly Up) along with two Shel Silverstein albums (Boy Named Sue and Freakin' At The Freakers Ball). Silverstein wrote all the songs for the Dr Hook and Sloppy Seconds albums, and Dr Hook And The Medicine Show were effectively the backing band for the Freakin' album. The Boy Named Sue album is the "plus" in this package. Most people know Dr Hook And The Medicine Show for their hugely successful singles "When You're In Love With a Beautiful Woman" and "Sexy Eyes" from the late 70s but the band had already been going nearly 10 years by then in various incarnations, Ray Sawyer who passed away in 2018 being the one constant. Whilst the first two albums did very well, Belly Up was not as successful. With the exception of that album, all the others have been available previously on CD but this is the first time they have been brought together in this fantastic value 2CD compilation. Founding member Dennis Locorriere reconvened the band with a new line-up for their 50th Anniversary during 2021 and 2022. Currently Locorriere's version of Dr Hook is made up of John Maher, Michelle Cordelli, Damien Cooper, Tim Bye, Jon Poole and Ryan Farmery.

Refund and Returns Policy Faulty or defective items:
In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
