The recording captures the historic swing of the incomparable Hank Jones on piano and master drummer Jimmy Cobb - immortalised for his work on Miles Davis's seminal Kind of Blue - alongside the modern virtuosity of bassist Christian McBride. West of 5th will be released on 180g One-Step Pressing half white / half grey vinyl LP and limited to just 500 copies exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday UK. Arriving just in time for its 20th Anniversary, this special release marks the first-ever vinyl pressing of the album, which has been long out of print since its original CD run. The LP features a colour variant that will remain strictly exclusive to this Record Store Day run. This release is a part of the Chesky Original Masters series.
