Birmingham Frequencies, a landmark ambient classic recorded in 1997 by Higher Intelligence Agency and Biosphere, receives its first release on vinyl. The follow up to Polar Sequences, a previous collaborative project between Biosphere & HIA, Birmingham Frequencies features location recordings of the city’s sonic landscape, captured by Bobby Bird and Geir Jenssen, which form the basis of the compositions. Birmingham Frequencies was first presented in concert on 4th October 1997 within the sublime circular rhythms of the Birmingham Rotunda, and was released on CD in 2000.
Described as a ‘vivid late night urban sound track’ with an ‘exquisitely burnished, Lynch/ Badalamenti soundtrack style ‘ two of the tracks, ‘Narrowboat’ and ‘Midpoint’, feature in Peter Mettler’s recent epic visionary cinema release ‘While the Green Grass Grows’.
An essential addition to any collection of works by these two artists.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
