Formed in 2024 after decades of friendship and musical intersections, SatchVai brings together two of the most celebrated guitarists of all time, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, for an unprecedented collaboration. With over 30 million records sold between them, two platinum and four gold albums, 15 Grammy wins and nominations, and careers that have shaped generations of players, Satriani and Vai represent the pinnacle of modern guitar. SatchVai channels that legacy into a dynamic new chapter. Rounding out the powerhouse lineup are numerous guest musicians, some of them who already played with Satriani and Vai on the “Surfing With The Hydra” tour in April 2026, such as Kenny Aronoff (drums), Marco Mendoza (bass), and Pete Thorn (guitar), More than just a band, SatchVai is a supercharged fusion of guitar-driven mastery, chemistry, and creative fire.
The first studio album to emerge from this project is called “The Sea Of Emotion”. Following a series of single releases (“The Sea Of Emotion Pt. 1” in 2024, “I Wanna Play My Guitar” in 2025 and “Dancing” earlier this year), this is the first time Joe Satriani and Steve Vai recorded a full album of brand-new songs together.
Satriani’s melodic sensibility and Vai’s adventurous, expressive style intertwine across every track, sometimes trading blistering solos, sometimes building layered harmonies that push the music in unexpected directions. It’s a record that captures the energy, creativity, and playful rivalry of their decades-long friendship, balancing technical brilliance with moments of pure musical conversation

Refund and Returns Policy Faulty or defective items:
In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
