Brownswood Recordings announces the next instalment in its Remix Editions series: Brownswood Remix Editions 011: Louie Vega & The Elements of Life, arriving on 12-inch vinyl on 11 December 2026.
A meeting of musical minds rooted in a shared love of club culture, the release brings together two fresh takes from Grammy-winning house music pioneer Louie Vega, reworking tracks by his long-standing collaborators, The Elements of Life. Across two sides, Vega brings his unmistakable touch to the dancefloor, drawing on the deep musicality, soulful expression and rhythmic sensibility that have defined his extraordinary career.
On the A-side, Love From The Sun (Louie Vega's We Out Here Edit) features the unmistakable vocals of Rahsaan Patterson and Cindy Mizelle, reimagined through Vega's distinctive lens. Flip over for People Make The World Go Round (Louie Vega Brownswood Vamp Dub), featuring the legendary Dee Dee Bridgewater, a particularly special moment for Brownswood, and an honour for the label to bring this recording to a new audience.
For Brownswood founder Gilles Peterson, the release brings together a personal favourite from recent DJ sets and a long-standing admiration for one of dance music's most tireless innovators.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order.
