The album »Gershwin Variations« by pianist Lucas Debargue was born out of the desire to explore a completely new musical universe. It is a homage to the great composer George Gershwin, whose music moved between the worlds of classical and jazz and could not be assigned to a rigid category. And that's exactly what Lucas Debargue had in mind for this double album.
The first part was recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris and contains well-known works by Gershwin, including the Concerto in F with the Orchestre de Paris under the baton of the internationally acclaimed Elim Chan, the three piano preludes and a personal version of the Rhapsody in Blue.
The second part of the recording was made in the Paulello studio and comprises twelve virtuoso etudes composed by Debargue on the basis of famous Gershwin songs. The pieces are considered his most ambitious work as a pianist and composer to date.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order.
