Sennen release ‘New Quiet’, their first album in over 10 years, on October 30.
It’s a wonderfully warm and fuzzy record – for fans of Yo La Tengo, Teenage Fanclub and Sonic Youth – self-recorded by the band but with the end results mixed by James Chapman, aka Maps.
They’re enjoying being a band again, and the wistful atmosphere was inspired by putting together the anniversary reissue of their classic debut ‘Widows’ in 2021.
“We were able to recognise the unfiltered joy we got from being in a band and making music together when we were in our early 20s,” says singer/guitarist Rich Kelleway, “and making this new album has brought that into focus again.
“Sennen is a bit of a lifeboat for us,” adds fellow singer/guitarist Larry Holmes. “The happy-sad, fear and hope stuff just comes from us getting older and having to experience a fair old slice of life here and there.”
Essentially, ‘New Quiet’ is a record about the importance of being in a band, of making a record, of music itself. This band really could be your life.

Refund and Returns Policy
If the product is in its original condition and unopened, we will accept its return within fourteen days from the day you received the item. You will receive a full refund to the value of the item* *Applies to Online orders only
Refund and Returns Policy Faulty or defective items:
In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
