This release follows a breakout year for Skye, who was named BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2026 winner and featured in ELLE’s Ones To Watch 2026, alongside nominations at the BRIT Awards (Song of the Year for ‘Family Matters’ and Breakthrough Artist) and the MOBO Awards (Best Newcomer).
It also marks a moment to reflect on the remarkable impact of ‘SE9 Part 1’. Achieving Top 20 chart positions for her first two singles, Skye became the first UK female solo artist in over a decade to debut in the Top 20 with both a first and second release - and one of only four artists to reach this milestone in the past 70 years. Her debut project ‘SE9 Part 1’ charted at No. 16 in the UK Official Albums Chart.
Debut single ‘Hairdresser’ entered the UK charts on release, peaking at No. 15 and spending 14 weeks in the Top 40, now surpassing over 62 million global streams and achieving Gold certification. Follow-up ‘Family Matters’ arrived just six weeks later, peaking at No. 5, spending seven weeks in the UK Top 10, surpassing over 89 million global streams and recently achieving Platinum status in the UK. The track was also one of the Top 100 best-selling UK singles of 2025.
Across the campaign to date, Skye has amassed over 232 million global streams, alongside 1.8 million views across short-form video platforms.
The announcement arrives just ahead of Skye Newman’s headline ‘The Woman I Am’ tour, which will see her perform across the UK and Europe, including two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on Tuesday 14th April and Wednesday 15th April.
With ‘SE9 Part 2’, Skye Newman continues to deepen the world she introduced on ‘SE9 Part 1’, further establishing herself as one of the UK’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant new voices.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
