Son of Sam was an American horror punk band and side project created by Todd Youth in 2000, during his tenure as the guitarist for Danzig. The band's initial line up featured members of Samhain, Danzig, and AFI. Songs From the Earth, the band's debut album, celebrates its 25th Anniversary (originally released in 2001). Although there are no cover songs on the album, this was a tribute to Glenn Danzig's former band Samhain. Danzig himself plays backup guitar on "Stray" and backup guitar & keyboard on the title track "Songs From The Earth".
In addition to Todd Youth on guitar, this album has Davey Havok (AFI) on vocals, London May on drums (Samhain, Tiger Army, Ministry), Steve Zing (Samhain).
1LP pressed on orange crush coloured vinyl.
