Furious, primitive psychedelic hard rock from Idaho! Featuring both versions of their monster 1969 single, “Oceans Inside Me”, plus recordings from 1969–1971 that were previously unreleased at the time.

Stone Garden emerged from Lewiston, Idaho, in the mid-1960s, when brothers Pat, Gary, and Neal Speer transformed childhood music lessons into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected underground rock bands. Inspired by the British Invasion and the era’s psychedelic explosion, the group evolved from neighbourhood garage rehearsals into a powerful live act known for its original songwriting, musicianship, and energetic performances.
Originally performing as the Three Dimensions and then Knights of Sound, the band adopted the name Stone Garden in 1967 as the psychedelic movement swept across America. The line-up soon expanded with bassist Dan Merrell and later featured accomplished musicians, including John Purviance.
Stone Garden quickly built a loyal following throughout the Pacific Northwest, performing extensively in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Northern California, British Columbia, and Montana. Influenced by artists such as the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and Cream, the band blended psychedelia, hard rock, and blues.
Their independently released single “Oceans” received regional radio airplay and helped establish Stone Garden as one of the Northwest’s most promising young bands. Later sessions at Vancouver’s Ripcord Studios further captured the band’s creative evolution.
Although Stone Garden disbanded in 1972 after relocating to Seattle, their recordings survived as sought-after collectors’ items. First issued by the legendary Rockadelic label, they have since been rediscovered by fans of vintage hard psychedelic and garage rock around the world.

Refund and Returns Policy Faulty or defective items:
In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
