To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Swimmer, the debut album from Scottish pop band The Big Dish, this special edition has been lovingly remastered and pressed on two shades of coloured vinyl.
Originally released in 1986, Swimmer introduced the band's melodic, atmospheric guitar- pop sound, shaped by the thoughtful songwriting and distinctive vocals of singer-songwriter Steven Lindsay. Produced by Ian Ritchie, Glyn Johns, Paul Hardiman and the band, the album features the singles Slide , Prospect Street and Christina's World , which helped establish The Big Dish as one of Scotland's most promising alternative pop acts of the 1980s. Over the years, Swimmer has earned lasting acclaim as the foundation for the band's later releases, Creeping Up on Jesus (1988) and Satellites (1991), it remains an essential chapter in The Big Dish's catalogue.
Remastered by Paul McGeechan, pressed by Seabass Vinyl and released by Past Night From Glasgow.
Steven Lindsay released his new solo album Chords & Colours with LNFG in July 2026 which was praised in The Scotsman, The Herald, The Scottish Daily Express & more.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
If, for some reason, a customer wishes to return an item that is not defective, we will accept the item and issue a refund within 14 days from the day you received the item.
