Christmas comes but once a year and when it does it brings timeless songs like the 71 festive favourites on 'The Hits Album - The Christmas Album', words and melodies that cut across the generations. Santa and snow, bells and drums, sleigh bells and lush strings, trees and tinsel, everything you need for the perfect Yuletide soundtrack is on these three discs, with the bonus of a dozen non-Christmas Christmastime hits. Stay warm by the fire with enduring classics from Bing Crosby ('White Christmas'), Dean Martin ('Baby It's Cold Outside'), and Eartha Kitt ('Santa Baby'), relive your childhood with The Crystals ('Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'), Adam Faith ('Lonely Pup (In a Christmas Shop)') and The Wombles ('Wombling Merry Christmas'), and dance beneath the mistletoe to Wizzard ('I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day'), Brenda Lee ('Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree') and Steps ('Merry Xmas Everybody'). Or simply cast your mind back to when great songs by The Human League ('Don't You Want Me'), Whitney Houston ('I Will Always Love You'), or Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman were No. 1 on the Christmas countdown. From the first note to the very last, 'The Hits Album - The Christmas Album' will remind you just why it really is the most wonderful time of the year.
