Yes will release their new album in 2021. “The Quest” is the band’s first album in seven years, the follow-up to 2014’s “Heaven And Earth,” and also their first album to be released on the Inside Out Music label.
Produced by Steve Howe, the progressive and art rockers once again demonstrate why they remain among the most important bands in their genre.
Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison, and Billy Sherwood composed eleven new songs for “The Quest” and recorded them in studios around the globe. The sessions took place in the UK with Howe, Downes, and Davison, while White and Sherwood met in a studio in the U.S. Additional percussion parts were contributed by Jay Schellen, a member of the Yes live band.
“It’s simply an honor for me to have the opportunity to bring the band members together to develop a well-crafted set of songs that capture the band’s true potential,” said Howe. “Much of the music was written in late 2019, with the rest coming in 2020. We commissioned several orchestrations to complement and enhance the overall sound of these fresh new recordings, in the hope that our emphasis on melody, paired with some extended instrumental solos, will keep our listeners engaged.”
Featuring artwork by artist Roger Dean, a longtime collaborator, the album is being released in various formats, including a double CD, a double LP with a double CD, a limited-edition art book with a double CD and Blu-ray, and a limited-edition deluxe glow-in-the-dark box set with a double LP, a double CD, and a Blu-ray, a slipcase, an enamel pin, a 36-page hardcover booklet, a poster, and a certificate of authenticity—all packaged in a sturdy lift-off box. The Blu-ray features a 5.1 surround sound mix as well as high-resolution instrumental versions of all tracks on the album.
Yes was formed in 1968. The progressive rock band was particularly influential in shaping the genre during the 1970s and is now considered one of its pioneers. To date, the British band has released 23 studio albums. Their most recent release, *Fram A Page* (2019), is a collection of previously unreleased songs from 2008 to 2011. “The Quest” is Yes’s 24th studio album and also the first to be recorded without Yes founder Chris Squire, who passed away in 2015.

In the unlikely event you receive an item from us that is either defective or faulty, please let us know so we can arrange collection of the item and dispatch a replacement as soon as possible. Please email us at info@towerrecords.ie to arrange the return of a defective item. If goods are being returned due to being defective or an error on our behalf, we will refund delivery charges resulting from the return of the original order. Non-defective items:
